Greetings all:

I'm just about ready to complete my first year of electronics. Anyhow, my eyes are opened just how simple it is to build a "black box" for fishing. From the internet, the ideal voltage fish are looking for is +.6 Volts.

From this website
http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/angling/protalk/reid/electric.phtml

Anybody out there played around with building their own black box, rather than forking out big dough for the Scotty version?

Also, if I build a couple, I need a couple guys to test them. Any takers?

Cheers,
matt

I'll help you test one! I have a 21 bayliner trophy with cannon downriggers and would love to help you experiment!

You may want to take a look at the pro troll black box it is pretty much the same thing as the scotty actually it was designed by Dick pool who designed the scotty black box but the pro troll blackbox is only $89.99 and I had one and it worked very well!
